What To Know

  • Additionally, new subscribers are expected to receive a discounted introductory rate during the first few months, a move aimed at encouraging early adoption and boosting interest in Google’s AI ecosystem.
  • While Google AI Pro caters to enterprises and heavy-duty professional users, AI Plus provides a rich experience at a fraction of the cost.

Thailand AI News: Google Expands Its AI Services into Thailand

Google has officially launched Google AI Plus in Thailand, introducing a powerful new subscription tier that gives local users advanced AI tools for just 189 baht per month. The plan is designed to make cutting-edge artificial intelligence more accessible to a wider audience, from students and creators to small businesses.

A Big Leap for Affordable AI Access

This Thailand AI News report reveals that AI Plus offers access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, which delivers much stronger performance compared to the free version. The package also includes 200 GB of shared cloud storage that works across Gmail, Drive, and Photos, giving subscribers both power and practicality in one plan.

Google’s decision to set such a low subscription rate is part of its broader strategy to democratize AI access and accelerate adoption across Southeast Asia. It positions Thailand as one of the key countries in the region benefiting from affordable, consumer-ready AI technology.

What Users Get with AI Plus

The new plan brings several premium features to the table. Users can generate videos through Veo 3 Fast, enjoy seamless Gemini integration into Docs, Sheets, and Gmail, and benefit from higher usage limits in NotebookLM and other AI tools. The 200 GB storage benefit can also be shared with up to five family members, making it ideal for households and small teams.

Additionally, new subscribers are expected to receive a discounted introductory rate during the first few months, a move aimed at encouraging early adoption and boosting interest in Google’s AI ecosystem.

Difference Between AI Plus and AI Pro

AI Plus acts as a middle-ground option between the free and Pro versions. While Google AI Pro caters to enterprises and heavy-duty professional users, AI Plus provides a rich experience at a fraction of the cost. Free users face limitations on prompt numbers and advanced capabilities, but Plus subscribers gain expanded quotas, faster responses, and access to advanced tools like multimodal generation and deep research functions.

Impact on Thailand’s Digital Landscape

The arrival of Google AI Plus could reshape how Thai individuals and businesses interact with AI. Students, developers, and entrepreneurs now have affordable access to tools that enhance productivity, creativity, and research capabilities. This move is likely to spark healthy competition among tech providers in Thailand, encouraging lower prices and more innovation.

If Google continues to localize its AI products—especially improving Thai language understanding—the country could see a surge in both usage and AI-driven innovation. The 189-baht price point represents more than affordability; it symbolizes a step toward inclusive digital progress.
