  • Among the major global AI trends he cited were the “Binary Big Bang” allowing anyone to develop software without coding, and “The New Learning Loop,” a model where humans and AI continuously learn together.
  • He noted that while Thailand’s National AI Plan is already focused on readiness and ecosystem development, more effort is needed to build infrastructure, foster talent, and create a supportive environment.

Thailand AI PR News: AI Takes Center Stage at CP Innovation Expo 2025

Thailand’s path to becoming a regional AI powerhouse was boldly charted at the “Digital & AI Intelligence Unleashed” seminar organized by True Corporation during the CP Innovation Expo and Symposium 2025 at True Digital Park. The event, themed “Innovate the Future for a Better Tomorrow,” brought together global tech leaders from Google, Microsoft, AWS, Huawei, Tencent, and BytePlus alongside Thai institutions such as NECTEC and Accenture Thailand. Their unified message was clear: Thailand stands at a defining moment in its digital transformation journey. This Thailand AI PR News report highlights that AI is not just another technology wave but the new foundation of national competitiveness on Thailand for the next decade.

AI Trends and Workforce Readiness

Accenture Thailand’s Managing Director, Mr. Apichart Arunkunarax, outlined a future where AI becomes an independent collaborator rather than just a tool. He referenced the World Economic Forum’s prediction that while AI may replace 90 million jobs, it will also create around 170 million new ones. He emphasized the urgency for Thai workers to upskill and adapt to new roles created by automation. Among the major global AI trends he cited were the “Binary Big Bang” allowing anyone to develop software without coding, and “The New Learning Loop,” a model where humans and AI continuously learn together.

NECTEC’s Executive Director, Dr. Chai Wutiwiwatchai, revealed that only 15 to 17 percent of Thai organizations currently use AI effectively. He noted that while Thailand’s National AI Plan is already focused on readiness and ecosystem development, more effort is needed to build infrastructure, foster talent, and create a supportive environment. The government aims to produce 30,000 AI professionals and establish Centers of Excellence through partnerships with private enterprises over the next two years.

Global Tech Giants Guide Thailands Digital Leap

Google’s Country Director, Mr. Annop Siritikul, announced that the upcoming launch of Google Cloud Region in Thailand will reduce latency and enhance data security, placing the country on par with international standards. Microsoft Thailand’s COO, Mr. Vasupon Thankakan, stressed the need to integrate AI with practical tools like Microsoft 365 to optimize efficiency, reduce errors, and accelerate innovation cycles. AWS Thailand’s Head of Technology, Mr. Apichet Chayabejara, spoke about Amazon’s customer-focused AI strategy, emphasizing rapid innovation through reversible decision-making frameworks.

Asian Tech Leaders Share New Value Perspectives

Huawei Thailand’s President, Dr. Chawapol Jariyawiroj, reminded attendees that while AI’s financial return may not be immediate, its strategic value lies in long-term competitiveness. He highlighted Huawei’s commitment to sustainable energy for AI-driven data centers and predicted Thailand could become ASEAN’s AI hub if cross-sector cooperation continues. Tencent Cloud’s Vice President, Mr. Jimmy Chen, and BytePlus’ Regional Director, Mr. Yan Gao, agreed that the true success of AI lies in user adoption and customer value rather than short-term profit metrics. They shared real-world examples from gaming, advertising, and entertainment sectors, demonstrating how AI enhances engagement and operational excellence.

Thailand Poised for A Defining AI Decade

The seminar revealed an unprecedented alignment between Thailand’s public sector and the world’s most powerful technology firms. With commitments to expand infrastructure, democratize AI tools, and nurture a highly skilled workforce, the nation is taking meaningful steps toward digital sovereignty. Over the coming decade, Thailand’s challenge will be to transform ambition into sustained action—ensuring AI development creates equitable opportunities, supports sustainability, and positions the country as a true leader in Southeast Asia’s digital economy.
