  • Managed through the VanEck Semiconductor UCITS ETF, it focuses on businesses set to benefit from the surging demand for chips, an industry projected to expand by roughly 10% annually over the long term.
  • The current promotional campaign allows investors to enter this high-potential market without incurring purchase or switching fees, making it an attractive window for those seeking to align their portfolios with the accelerating global AI shift.

Thailand AI PR News: Thailand SCBAM Bets Big on AI Growth with Two New Funds

SCB Asset Management (SCBAM) has taken a bold step into the AI-powered investment space with the launch of two specialized funds — SCBUSAA and SCBSEMI(A) — aimed at capturing the massive opportunities arising from artificial intelligence adoption worldwide. The firm is also rolling out a limited-time campaign offering waived purchase and switch-in fees for those who invest via the SCBAM Fund Click app between August 1 and August 29, 2025. This Thailand AI PR News report comes at a time when AI continues to disrupt industries and redefine market growth trajectories.

According to Ms. Suparat Areewong, Executive Director of Marketing Strategy and Investment Products at SCBAM, companies positioned to benefit from the AI boom are set for continued growth throughout 2025. The surge is driven by stronger-than-expected earnings forecasts, expanding AI integration, and supportive macroeconomic conditions such as lower interest rates. Big Tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google are reporting robust performances thanks to demand for their AI-enhanced cloud computing services. Meanwhile, the semiconductor sector is emerging from a sluggish 2024 and is expected to see steady recovery. The software industry also continues its upward trend as AI adoption spreads across every sector, with the arrival of disruptive players like DeepSeek poised to accelerate this momentum.

Two Funds Tapping into AI Megatrends

The SCB US Active Equity Fund (Accumulation), known as SCBUSAA, targets US growth stocks — home to some of the world’s most innovative and financially resilient companies. Managed via the Morgan Stanley Investment Funds – US Growth Fund, it leverages in-depth fundamental analysis to pick 30–50 high-potential stocks with the aim of outperforming market averages.

The SCB Semiconductor Fund (Accumulation), or SCBSEMI(A), is dedicated to companies in the global semiconductor equipment industry. Managed through the VanEck Semiconductor UCITS ETF, it focuses on businesses set to benefit from the surging demand for chips, an industry projected to expand by roughly 10% annually over the long term. Notably, SCBSEMI(A) earned a prestigious 5-star Morningstar rating in Thailand’s Global Technology category as of June 30, 2025.

Strategic Timing for AI Investments

Ms. Suparat emphasised that the AI Adoption theme offers a prime opportunity for investors aiming for sustainable long-term portfolio growth. She noted that by investing in funds with a disciplined stock selection process and robust risk diversification, investors can gain exposure to companies leading the AI transformation while mitigating downside risks.

The current promotional campaign allows investors to enter this high-potential market without incurring purchase or switching fees, making it an attractive window for those seeking to align their portfolios with the accelerating global AI shift.

The expansion of AI into every aspect of the economy, from cloud computing to semiconductors, signals that this trend is far from a short-term market fad. Instead, it represents a structural shift that could redefine competitive advantages across industries for decades to come. For investors, participating now means potentially riding a powerful wave of innovation-driven growth well into the future.
