This Thailand AI PR News report highlights how the training program was crafted to raise AI awareness, enhance technical skills, and promote real-world AI applications across government agencies. Participants underwent a comprehensive curriculum that ranged from foundational AI concepts to advanced use of Microsoft’s AI tools. The culmination of the training came in the form of a Hackathon, where teams developed and pitched their own AI-driven solutions to real challenges faced by their agencies.
Collaboration and Impact Across Agencies
Major support for the program came from leading Microsoft partners including Fusion Solution, Frontis, STelligence, Betimes Solutions, Bluebik, Digital Dialogue, and Yip-In-Tsoi. These partners played a crucial mentorship role, guiding participants as they translated AI theory into practice.
Microsoft Thailand’s Managing Director Dhanawat Suthumpun shared, “The energy and enthusiasm of the participants reaffirm our belief in the transformative power of AI in the public sector. As part of our wider THAI Academy vision to upskill one million Thais, this program represents how AI can enable government officers to be catalysts of innovation and change.”
Echoing the sentiment, Airada Luangvilai, Senior Executive Vice President and Acting CEO of DGA, noted, “This collaboration with Microsoft has delivered more than just training. It has empowered officers to rethink the future of public service. The Hackathon demonstrated how quickly and effectively AI can be embedded in real workflows, and we’re excited by the momentum this has generated.”

-Empowerment Category Winner: ATB Synergy, a combined team from the National Anti-Corruption Commission and other key bodies, presented Tharn Rath, a procurement monitoring platform that introduces AI agents to promote transparency and reduce administrative burden.
Thailand’s Vision for AI Driven Governance
The enthusiasm seen in this program is a reflection of Thailand’s readiness to embrace AI across government. Officers are not only gaining skills—they are changing the way public services are delivered. The Hackathon projects are now serving as blueprints for national deployment, and more initiatives are expected under the THAI Academy umbrella.
Thailand’s push into AI is more than a tech upgrade. It signals a cultural shift in governance—where technology meets trust, and innovation meets impact. By enabling civil servants to design and deploy AI solutions themselves, the nation is laying a solid foundation for long-term digital resilience.
